Problems:
When users click “Datasheet View” button, SharePoint:
1. “Flash” 1 time and return to Standard View
2. A prompt shows:
-A datasheet component compatible with Microsoft SharePoint Foundation is not installed.
-Your Web Browser does not support ActiveX Controls.
-A component is not properly configured for 32-bit or 64-bit support.
Error message:
Solutions:
1. Make sure your IE enabled the Office addon: Microsoft Office List 1x.0 (e.g. 12.0, 14.0)
2. Install components:
Office components from the SharePoint Designer installation file (URL: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=16573)
2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components (URL: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=23734)
3. Check IE ActiveX settings:
Download signed ActiveX controls: Prompt
Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins: Enable
Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting: Enable
